Black and white tiny floral calico print, gingham, ticking and plain black knit combine with red grosgrain ribbon to create this adorable vintage 70s casual summer scoop neck dress with tiered prairie skirt, kind of a cross between country western and Gunne Sax styles.
We love these flirty dresses worn with cowgirl boots and hat for rodeo days and honky tonk nights. And, if you want, add even more flirt by wearing with a crinoline or petticoat to add some fun fullness for the dance floor!
Measurements:
Bust: laid flat 34", the knit stretches up to 42"
Waist: up to 24". This is stabilized, and does NOT stretch to fit.
free hips
15" long from shoulder to waist
38" long from shoulder to hem
2.25" neck point to shoulder point
14" from shoulder point to shoulder point, but it is knit, so stretches for a nice fit
fantastic 148" sweep of hem
There are no fiber labels, but this has a soft, comfortable hand of all cotton; the calico tier is a wonderful textured seersucker, or plisse. Speaking of labels, there is one in the back seam, but the print has all worn off (image included).
This has a center back zipper, extended flutter sleeve caps. The red grosgrain ribbon trim adds a punch of color and fun.
This has been freshly laundered, and is ready to wear, with no flaws.
