Here's a lovely vintage 1960s Kay Whitney by Huntington dress in a hard-to-find larger size!
This flattering dress is made of a cotton- candy-pink linen-look fabric that has a swirling curlique embroidery design of cream and sage green on the front bodice.
This has a flattering curved squared neckline, and it buttons from neckline to below the waistline.
The buttons are a lovely pale pink pearlized-look moonglow plastic shank, 3/4" across.
This has side seam darts for the bustline, with tucks in the back bodice for shaping. The skirt has darts front and back, with shallow front pockets sewn from the center dart over to the side seams. There are small thread belt carriers on each side seam; perhaps this originally had a matching self belt. (belt shown is not included)
Bust: up to 42"
Waist: up to 32"
Hip: up to 44"
Across back shoulders: 16.5
NP to SP: 4"
Sleeve (from shoulder point to sleeve hem): 7.5"
Center back of the neckline to waist: 15.25"
CBN to hem: 42"
In excellent, ready to wear condition.
Although this has a linen weave, it is more resilient, so it must be blended with at least a hint of polyester.
This is absolutely lovely on; however our mannequin is more a size 6-8 so its difficult to see how nicely it lays. We have shown it with and without a belt to give you a better idea of it's size.
Perfect for: summer events such as receptions, church on Sunday, lunch with the girls...
