Classic fitted dropped-waist lace bridal gown with bustier style under bodice.
The design is sophisticated, elegant, demure, with long pointed (Juliette) sleeves (with snap closures) , and a mandarin collar; however, the sheer lace allows the arms and shoulders to peek through, perfect for a princes bride!
as well, the bodice is sprinkled with little faux pearls.
This has the red white and blue union tag, suggesting at least 1970s manufacture; the dropped waistline reminds me of "When Harry Met Sally" which was filmed in 1989.
This has a (vintage) size 16 label, however, measurements are tiny:
waist up to 28"
sleeve length: 26"
length from center back of the neck to the dropped waistline: 22"
length to hem: 54"
the sweep of the hem is a marvelously full 160"
The skirt has three layers: the lace, the full lining of acetate, and features a tulle nylon netting underskirt.
This zips up the back.
Nice detailing, with the hem, sleeve hems and neckline lace all trimmed with a small row of delicate co-ordinating floral lace.
Condition: Just back from the dry-cleaners and in excellent condition with the only exception being a small area (about 1/4") near the zipper where the lace is just a hint darker than the rest of the dress; this is very subtle, and is not readily visible. We've included a photo for you to inspect.
