This pretty powder pink cookie jar was made by Hull USA, and is known as a Nu-Line B-20 Diamond Quilt pattern. It was manufactured in the 1930s and early 1940s.
This measures 8" tall , 6.5" from edge of handle to opposite handle edge, and 21". It is 4.25" across the mouth.
Capacity is 2 quarts.
Condition: This presents very well overall, however, it does have crazing. As many cookie jar collectors know, the lids are often lost or broken, so we're happy to have this one. However, it does have a chip out of the underside of the lid, and there is a crack in the lid, as well. Since the chip is on the underside, it is not visible at all, and the crack is disguised pretty well amoung the quilted depressions, so it is not ready visible. We've included photographs of these issues for you to inspect. Pricing accordingly to reflect the condition of the lid.
These authentic colorful retro kitchen ware items are being sought after to decorate rooms, entire homes, and even vintage campers in color coordinated and sometimes time period similar themes. We've sold a ton of pink decorative items, especially.
We use vintage cookie jars for more than just cookies, too: we keep our kitty and puppy treats in them, we store garden seeds in them, and we use them in our sewing room to hold spools of thread and cards of buttons. In a little girl's room, cookie jars can hold a ton of hair bows and clips, or, legos or other treasures.
