This gorgeous lipstick red winter wool coat is from the 1950s, and features raglan cut tapered sleeves, and a huge shawl collar (7.25" deep at center back of the neck!).
These clutch coats have no closures: they're intended to be worn slightly opened, or "clutched" closed with the hand.
Label: Raymond Cooper, Indianapolis
39" long from center back of the neck to the hem.
Since it's raglan cut, the sleeves measure 28.5" from the neck point to the sleeve hem
8" around sleeve hem
52" around hem
Beautiful shoulder backs: feature deep triple darting on each side
This has a shiny, soft red satin lining.
And, it makes a particularly excellent canvas to wear an antique lace shawl or scarf over (shawl sold separately).
Freshly dry cleaned. We did find a couple of tiny moth bites, so we immediately double deep froze this to prevent further pest issues. This is not readily visible, (don't remember where on the coat we found them); pricing lower, accordingly.
