This stylish vintage 70s winter coat by Forecaster of Boston features a double breasted trench front closure, tabbed and buttoned wrist detailing, padded shoulders and a handsome red and gold foulard lining.
Although shown with it's v neckline, this can also be buttoned all the way up to keep you extra warm on particularly cold and blustery days.
It includes a fiber label, 100% wool, and a red white blue union label as well as the maker's label. It also still has some extra buttons!
Sized as a 9/10, this measures (remember, for coats, you need to keep in mind that you may be wearing a bulky sweater or layered jacket underneath it, so you'll want to adjust your size requirements, accordingly):
up to 44" bust
44" at hip
48" sweep of hem
47.5" long from center back of the neck to the hem.
16" from shoulder point to shoulder point
5" from neck point to shoulder point
24" sleeve length
These measurements translate roughly to a current size 12 to 14, which is considered a medium to large size.
This has an open kick pleat in the back to make walking easier.
This also has faux welt pockets, that have hidden slash pockets underneath.
Condition: quite outstanding with the exception that we have not had it dry cleaned yet and we did notice some very light wear to the inside of the collar: this is not visible when worn, and we have priced it lower, accordingly. We have double-deep frozen this, as we do with all woolens that come into our studio. We see no staining or spots, there are no odors.
This classic coat is easy to dress up, or down. We love wearing longer coats with boots and jeans, especially.
