Here is a classic fatigue green military field jacket from the Viet Nam era, the 1960s and 70s.
Classic military details include:
large patch pockets with flaps
metal zipper front by Scovill
hood that zips up in the back of the stand up collar
velcro and snap closures.
string around waist (inside) to pull it up close, if the wearer wanted
has shoulder flanges, too, for extra room, extra reach
length from the center back of the neck to the hem: 31"
Shoulder point to shoulder point: 19.75" wide
6.75" from neck point to shoulder point
25" sleeve length
Lined in cotton.
This has buttons around the inside which a liner can be attached to; this did not come with a liner.
Condition: these were often worn hard in their first line of duty; however, this is in amazing condition, considering.
Minor issues include only:
*The lining is wearing along the hem: this is not visible when worn, but will need attention, sooner or later, in our opinion. Not visible when worn.
*there are the initials "KZ"written in magic marker on the inside of the back of the neck's lining (this is not visible when worn)
Freshly laundered, ready to wear. In remarkable, very desirable, very wearable condition.
These were the jacket of choice for college students (guys AND girls) for years (they're even more cozy worn with a hoody sweatshirt underneath), and, you may recall, in 1976 Robert De Niro wore one for his role as The Taxi Driver.
