We love old furniture, and this lovely carved wood chair is one of our latest favorites!
First of all, the measurements:
38.25" from floor to top of the back
16" from floor to top of seat
18.5" across the top
About 20" from front to back (the top of the chair leans back)
This has a spoke back, and double leg rungs on each side as well as front and back.
The back is carved, as mentioned.
This was an orange color before it was painted (depression) green; the green is chipping away pretty well by now.
This could have been manufactured earlier than the 1930s, most likely was, but that green...it definitely is from the 30s!
We are selling this for local pick up...the last chair we sent out cost over $200.00 to ship from central Iowa to Michigan, so, picking it up keeps this as a more reasonable investment. If, however, that shipping estimate doesn't bother you, we're happy to ship via UPS for you.
