Blouses with wide and padded shoulders, full sleeves and loose bodies like this one by Peters and Ashley were a staple of pretty much any business woman in the 1980s (think of the film: "Working Girl").
This has a gathered extended back neckline, featuring a v front inset with an asymmetrical cowl, and tiny buttons close to the wearer's left side that gives an exotic, sort of Russian cossack look to this.
The fabric is a gorgeous moire look floral paisley jacquard in light lavender purple of easy care wash and wear polyester.
Labeled a size 10, which is considered a medium, but measurements are more that of a large:
25" long from center back of the neck to the hem
17" shoulder point to shoulder point
24" sleeve length
42" around the hem
This is freshly laundered, in excellent condition with no flaws or issues at all.
These blouses were designed to be flowy, loose (which helps to explain the size/measurement relation). They're very pretty worn with either a tailored skirt or trousers; when they're really blousy like this one, it's a bit more difficult to slip a jacket over it, unless it, too, is from the 1980s with a deeper cut armseye to accommodate all that fullness.
The wide curved maroon/brown leather belt is being sold separately here in our shop. The black belt and gray skirt are not included, either, they are simply being used to suggest how to style it.
Looks great worn to the office, as well as to dinner, business receptions, or to church and brunch on Sunday.
