Pagodas, cherry blossom trees, and riders on horses are the design of the rich embroidered brocade satin of this lovely, classic blouse from the 1940s.
The colors are exquisite, a pretty pale jadite shade of green with pastel yellow that shimmers and shifts in different light.
Simply cut with a set in collar, extended sleeve cap with cuffed hems, and button front neckline. The buttons are authentic 1940s pearl finish covered glass: the finish has started to wear away on a couple of them, but these could easily be replaced, if the buyer chooses (we prefer the look of the old ones).
This is beautifully constructed with French seaming; there are small shoulder pads attached.
Bust up to 38"
Waist up to 34"
Length from center back of the neck to the hem: 23"
These measurements approximate a modern size 8, or medium.
Condition: except for the buttons that do show wear, this is in excellent condition, ready to wear. We've styled it with satin trousers, which look perfect with it (but are not included).
