Roberts Rules of Order Revised 75th Anniversary Edition Hardcover Book Copyright 1951 - image 1 of 12

This hardcover book was originally written by General Henry M. Robert and has become a classic handbook for the parliamentary rules of order for holding meetings used by almost all of American deliberative societies such as a Board of Directors, School Boards, town councils and more.

This is a Pocket Manual, 75th Edition, Copyright 1951; it was originally written in 1876. In this book Mr. Robert brought the rules of conducting a meeting of the American Congress to the public; supposedly it sold half a million copies before a 1915 revision.

This hardcover book is in very good condition with one very small scuff along the front cover's edge, only slightly dented corners, a few pages with underlined parts, and the hand-written name of a previous owner on the front inside. The binding is sturdy; all pages are present and secure.

This has 326 pages including its index; interestingly, the front inside cover contains the “Order of Precedence of Motions” while the inside back cover as “Practical Points.” We assume those are the two most used sections, so were placed in an easy-to-find area.

Measures 6” top to bottom by 4 and 1/8” across; it is ¾-inch thick.

Makes a thoughtful gift for a graduate with plans on serving the community one day.
