This is an authentic boy scout belt for an entry level, cub scout. It is part of the uniform of a cub scout from the late 1950s early 1960s.
It measures 1” wide by approximately 28.25” long when opened up.
Solid brass hardware of rolling clasp closure with a Cub Scouts USA with the wolf head on the front, and a 3/8” wide tip covering. Tip cover says 36, but this isn’t near that long (anymore?).
The navy blue woven cotton has faded over time and has begun to fray along the edges, however it still closes securely for a waist of about 26” (or smaller).
We have not attempted to polish the buckle, but I bet it would shine up pretty well.
This has sentimental value more than monetary, but it’s ability to potentially bring back special memories of a delightful childhood could make it a real treasure for a previous scout.
