In the 1980s these low slung wide belts gained popularity especially after Madonna wore them in her wildly popular music videos (think Borderline, for example); soon they were being worn all over MTV and in night clubs from coast to coast. From there, they made their way into offices, schools and pretty much every where else.
This is a gorgeous deep dark plum-tinged brown color.
Intended to be worn below the natural waistline, most often angled, but sometimes worn straight across. This one has slight curves to it, so it hugs a body nicely and is very attractive on.
