Vintage Light Pink and White Gingham Apron with Cross Stitch Embroidery Floral Border

We were fortunate to acquire a group of hand worked cross stitch embroidered aprons that appear to have never been worn.

They are lovely, classic aprons which were popular for many years making it difficult to date them. They are from the estate of a woman who got married in the early 1940s and did all kinds of handwork and crafts, so it could be from her early marriage years, or something she may have done later in life. We feel they are probably earlier than later, as she was a farm housewife who had three boys, and, honestly? who has time to embroider once that chaos has started?

The aprons are in a variety of sizes, a variety of designs, and a variety of colors.

We are pricing and selling these individually but are happy to combine to reduce shipping; we will discount for a multiple item order, too.

This apron features pale pink and white gingham with a tuck and pleated waistband, a pocket on the (wearer’s) right side, and fabulous fancy floral in dark pink (it looks red in our images, but in real life it’s a deep dark pink) light pink and green near the apron hem.

Measurements:

Waistband is 1 and 1/4” wide

Top of apron skirt:18”

Across hem of skirt: 34”

Length from top of waistband to hem: 20.5” long

Ties: 3.5” wide x 22.5” long.
