Here is a wonderful vintage crocheted apron with scalloped hem vintage estimated to be from the late 1940s to early 1950s.
The waistband/ties are about 1.5" wide, it is about 14.5" from the bottom of the waistband to the hem.
The apron itself is about 18" where it attaches at the waist, and flares to 28" across the hem!
The tie/waistband is about 52" long. There is some stretch to it from the open crochet weave.
Aprons are again becoming part of many women's every day lives; lots of girls are attempting to make their own, and even more are searching out true vintage aprons for a taste and look of the past! Some credit that to the Rachel Ray, or the rage in cooking shows. Others say it's just great to grow up to be like your mom (or grandma!).
This one is a fun little apron to brighten up your cookie baking days even more.
The colors of this make it a charming holiday gift (Christmas, St Patrick's Day!) for your mom or grandma, or, grand daughter.
