Our Specialty is the Sea Stinger of Modern Design -- Something Refined, Sophisticated, yet Edgy!
Art and Design of the 19th and 20th centuries referencing Proto-Modernist, Modernist, and Post-Modernist ideals!
HERE’S AN OUTSTANDING 9 3/4” ARTIST-SIGNED FUSED KILN-FIRED SLUMP-FORMED MODERN STUDIO ART GLASS PLATE THAT DISPLAYS A SQUARE SHAPE WITH CORNERS TURNED UPWARDS AND FILLED WITH AN ABSTRACT RETRO GEOMETRIC DESIGN COMPRISED OF MULTI-COLORED RECTANGLES OF VARIOUS SIZES RENDERED IN BLUE, ORANGE, GREEN, RED, BLACK, YELLOW, AND WHITE IN COMBINATION WITH AN EAGLE OR RAVEN HEAD REFERENCING PACIFIC NORTHWEST HAIDA ART!
Please Note: In the corner area with the large blue rectangle is a small multi-colored eagle or raven head that when combined with the geometric abstraction of the overall plate seems to be referencing Pacific Northwest Haida art (but this is clearly open to interpretation).
Dimensions: This modern studio art glass plate measures approximately nine and three quarters inches (9 3/4”) across from side to opposing side at its widest point, thirteen and one quarter inches (13 1/4”) across from one corner to the opposing diagonal corner, by two and one eighth inches (2 1/8”) in height at each corner (corners are higher than the sides).
Signature: Signed on the underside bottom with inscribed artist’s initials that appear to be “WB” or “WZ” or possibly “EM” when turned the opposite direction.
Condition: Generally excellent and clean condition with a couple of very small surface scratches on the interior (barely visible). Overall, still a beauty!
Domestic buyer pays calculated shipping for secure packing and USPS priority within the United States. I no longer ship internationally due to the high volume of scams taking place. Sorry.
