Here for your consideration is a wonderful early Sterling Silver Fur/Dress Clip.
This piece was made by the Evans Case Company in Attleboro, MA. It is one of their iconic jewelry pieces and quite sought after. This fur clip/pin is the large version of an Asian lady’s head with long dramatic end-curled hair. Her lovely face is adorned with a fancy headdress topped with three carved aqua blue/confetti cabochons.
As with most of Evans Case Company jewelry pieces, this piece was not signed except for the word, “Sterling”, on the back in two places. The company only produced a small amount of jewelry and were renowned for their wonderful Art Deco lady’s compacts and other high-quality products.
This fur clip pin is in very good condition. It measures 3-1/2” x 1-1/2” (widest point) and weighs 22 grams. The back two-pin spring clip is original and works properly. We left the beautiful patina for the new owner.
