Here for your consideration is a pair of Sterling Silver Abalone Fish Pins made in Taxco, Mexico c. 1940s.
These pins are in a fish design made popular by William Spratling. The head, tail fins, dorsal fins, and body studs are sterling silver. The main body is abalone shell.
These pins/brooches are old and pre-Eagle. Each pin measures approximately 1-1/8” x 1-1/4” and is hallmarked, STERLING, TAXCO. The total weight for both is 10 grams. These are nice to wear together or separately. Both pins are in very good condition with original locking pin stem and clasp.
