This is a lovely little corner cupboard. Beneath a thick top runs a bold bullnose molding. The flat paneled door below is as plain as they come but the front stiles are gently curved, and the door edge nicely chamfered for a good fit, adding an elegant touch to an otherwise unassuming piece. The interior has one full shelf and a smaller hidden shelf in the back corner. The turned bun feet are replacements. This piece has the deep rich honey colour and strong grain pattern typical of Swedish pitch pine.
Sweden, circa 1890.
