This is an unusually narrow pine apothecary cupboard, built in two pieces. The upper section has two glass doors which open wide to a spacious two shelf interior, fairly recently painted in pale blue. The base has twelve deep original hand-cut dovetailed drawers, two rows of large and one row of small, all with rusted iron bin pulls. It looks like the original colour was dark, possibly grain painted. Over the years it has been painted over with mustard, green, white and cream paint, all worn and chipped and crackled to a wonderfully shabby finish. Cleaned, but otherwise in as-found condition.
