Very informative, thick book, "The History of Ireland", title pages reads in part "The History of Ireland, Ancient and Modern, taken from the most authentic records and dedicated to the Irish Brigade by the Abbe Mac-Geoghegan, translated from the French by Patrick O'Kelly, ESQ, published by D & J Sadlier & Co....there is no copyright date, not all Sadlier editions were dated, I believe the date may be 1847 possibly earlier...I have taken a photo of the Introduction (photo 5)...book contains 2 illustrations...book measures 10 1/4" X 7", 1 3/4"thick

hard back cover displays wear, soiling, corner bumps, front & back boards have a top crease which doesn't go thru the board, spine cover is leather...book is very solid, book is complete, contains 630 pages...I believe the cover has been repasted to the pages at some time because a couple of the interior back pages have a space along spine and the interior front board has a crack along the spine...interior front blank page has written name, city; beginning front interior pages having page wear, foxing, staining, soiling & brown age toning, interior pages having some age toning but not bad, a bit of foxing, finger smudges, pages are very readable...great informative history book to add to your collection...
