This is a 1924 reproduction book of the famous expedition "Narrative of the Texan Santa Fe Expedition" which was first issued in 1844, other editions in 1845 & 1856...this book was also issued in 1935.. book contains a title page & Historical Introduction by Milo Milton Quaife, Secretary & Editor of the Burton Historical Collection..copyright 1924 by The Lakeside Classics...book continues with an original preface & title page..this title page reads in part "comprising a tour through Texas and across the great southwestern prairies, the Comanche & Cayuga hunting grounds with an account of the suffering from want of food, losses from hostile Indians & final capture of the Texans..it also reads "in 2 volumes, Vol 1"...this book covers the first volume book and 1 chapter of the 2nd volume...
hard back cover displays wear but still nice, spine is slightly soft, all pages attached, top edge pages having gold leaf...book is complete, contains 585 pages...interior pages are nice, minimal age toning,between front blank pages, there is a separation of page & spine (see 3rd photo), no tears or creasing noted..book measures 6 3/4" X 4 1/2"wide, 1 3/4" thick....great book you will enjoy reading...
