Offering this circa 1960's TRIFARI set. Highly collectible and difficult to find this original converter set. Beautiful textured gold tone dangle drop pendant that converts to a brooch. The jewels used in this series are a rich faux jade. Upon close inspection they have the look of real jade with the lucite beads (earrings are speckled glass) having much color variation. Dark and light green with flecks of darker and lighter shades on each.
To convert to a brooch only, simply lift the pin back and remove the beaded necklace section from the hook. The necklace measuring a full 18" long without the dramatic 3" dangle pendant. The pendant comprised of jade cabochons. The original paper hang tag remains attached and the original "crown over the letter "T" metal hang tag at the jump ring closure. The texture is also very rich in appearance, textured golden drops flank the jade beautifully. The back of the pendant is hallmarked with the Crown Trifari logo.
The earrings were purchased from the same estate, also having the matching paper hang tag. However, this is the first time I noticed that the cabs on the earrings have the lucite cab in the center, whereas the oval cabs are glass. They do make a good marriage and I do not want to break the set up since this is how they were found and both from the same Trifari series.
The earrings are clip back and hallmarked as well with the crown Trifari logo. Measuring 3/4" long. Also, the earrings have the original crown Trifari paper tag that reads the same with a "crown" before the words "Jewels by TRIFARI."
This stunning set is very Rich, Opulent and fit for Royalty. Also, with the original paper hang tags to two of the pieces, they appear to have never been worn..
