Miriam Haskell jewelry was quite popular during the Art Nouveau period. Hence, her inspiration of gifts from Mother Nature.
She began her commercial jewelry business in 1924 with the help of Frank Hess, a leading designer with unmatched technical skills. Together, they created jewelry that is still coveted by women today, nearly a century later.
We are pleased to offer this lovely leaf brooch from the design house of MIRIAM HASKELL.
A large and beautiful representation of Mother Natures gifts of Fall. This Russian Gold Plate Double Leaf Brooch features the hand wired simulated pearls characteristic of Haskell's earlier lines.
The back has the MIRIAM HASKELL signature oval plaque.
The piece has very minimal age related wear to the high relief area that can barely be seen with naked eye, With close inspection of our jewelers loupe we, however, found the pearls have remained excellent with no wear or peeling, to the nacre. Shimmery and lustrous, which is rare on these vintage pieces.
The pin measures a substantial 2 1/8" tall from tip of leaf to the base.
