Women's ensemble consisting of: top coat, jacket and skirt in minty condition and large size. The three pieces in coordinated fabric and color are: 1. a swing style, loose fitting, top coat, 2. a fitted jacket, and 3. a fitted skirt. All in minty, clean, ready to wear condition with no issues.
Dramatic, era specific and simply beautiful. Size is Large, bust 36 - 38.
Measurements in inches are: Coat: Bust 38, waist 44, Hip up to 54, sleeve 23, center back to hem 33, across upper back 17, full swing at hem 58 inches,
Jacket: Bust 36, waist 30, hip 36, bottom width at hem 38, sleeve 22 with winged cuff turned up, across upper back 15.5, length center back to hem 25.5.
Unlined Skirt: waist 28, hip 38, length, 32 with a 1 & 1/2" hem allowance. The skirt has a waistband, side metal zipper and button closure
Coordinated fabrics in black and white. There is a softly low looped white wool boucle, and a rich, firm black, faille that is woven with a faintly ribbed pattern. The coat and jacket are lined in silk satin, of bridal weight. The skirt is unlined.

The top coat features: body of black faille, Wide double collar in details in black and white boucle, trimmed buttons and tailored button holes, with wide boucle fabric cuffs. There are diagonal accents at the hip trimmed in the boucle. Dramatic coat is cut with a WIDE swing back, accentuated with shoulder pads. It is extra long and, is lined in rich black satin. The black satin opera straps just show the quality and intent of purpose in this piece. Wonderful. Mint condition.
The coordinated, fitted jacket features: wide double slash collar trimmed in black faille, body of black and white boucle, buttons and pockets trimmed in black faille, set in sleeves that can be worn turned down or up to reveal black faille and winged presentation. The pockets function i.e.: are not faux and are self lined. It is fully lined in satin and has substantial shoulder pads.
The skirt is solid black. It has a waistband. The closure is a metal zipper with a button.

The three piece set circa 1946 has an exclusive label: 20th Century Sportswear Original, Ogden Utah. This was a short lived, design house that made to order and also had a line in exclusive department stores. Each garment was, impeccably tailored with the most exquisite fabrics.
