1960s Original, ultra mod, paper dress in package with matching napkins and place mats, size small. Best for a size extra small in modern sizing; 4-6.
In the original plastic wrapper, this set cost just $3.98 in about 1965. There are 25 pieces in the package. This is like a party in a package!
The "fabric" / paper for the dress has slight texturing. One piece dress has a key hole opening at the neckline. The colors of place mats and napkins match the dress. Hot novelty items at the time; few of these have survived. Even fewer come up in unused condition with the original packaging.
This short lived fashion craze, featured ultra mod designs with bright colors. The dresses were simple, knee length "A" line shifts. They could be cut shorter. Most were made from cellulose tissue and sometimes reinforced with rayon or nylon. They were intended for wearing just a few times and then thrown away.
This dress was only removed from the packaging for pictures. The white of the dress is not as bright as that on the place mats or napkins. All of the other colors are VIVID! No tears, holes or damage to note.
