Vintage necktie from the Depression Era 1930s, 1940s damask fabric. Measurements: 49 inches long X 3-1/4 inches at widest part. Tie length were much shorter in this era. Vests were cut high and ties were short. Most men only wore ties with a vest and jacket.
This is a triple fold construction with top stitched points. Those hallmarks along with the shorter length identify this as an authentic Depression Era fashion. This is a great old neck tie.
Navy blue field is a woven Damask with accent design in mellow yellow and rosy red. Nothing glaring, just a great tie.
Above excellent condition. Very clean. Ready to wear. No damage to note. Dry cleaner pressed a bit too firmly.
