Rare vintage sewing pattern from the Down Abbey era circa 1916 for a variety of coats and jackets. It is wonderful to find this in a larger size.
Bust is given as 34, hip 36. This pattern was first designed in 1916 and last patented in 1919.
A variety of coats and jackets from the Titanic era can be made from this one pattern. There are two collar / yoke treatments and two back treatments. Mixing and matching these treatments, you can have several different jackets. The vestee (dickie) shown on the pattern front is included.
The coat has a loose fit. It is very sophisticated and reminds me of some modern designs by Ralph Lauren. Wonderful pattern.
Sold by BUTTERICK, it is an unprinted pattern complete with full instructions for making the one piece jacket and vestee. This is an ORIGINAL pattern. Not a copy or reprint.
You are going to have the original in your exclusive collection. Minor wear to this pattern. I did count the pieces so they are not as crisply folded as before they were checked. Condition is EXCELLENT.
