Brooch cellulose acetate faux wood; 1970s in mint condition. Measures 2-7/8 inches long and is in unworn condition.
This pin was made making many, many layers of cellulose acetate to imitate wood. It would appear this was blonde oak. This looks like wood with a fine grade that has been sanded. Not the case. A band of cream colored plastic spans the brooch.
Smoothly finished with shaped edges. The back has an applied cellulose acetate band with a rotating knuckle clasp securely fastened.
