This rare Lucite and cellulose acetate, tube necklace in a circlet style, is Ultra Mod with a layered center bead; from the 1970s it is HTF - Hard to Find. It is 14 inches from end to end. The oval center bead is about 1-1/2 inches around.
I believe this is a rare piece. It is amazing. From a great estate, just purchased. I will be listing more unique items from this estate in the coming months.
The long, slender, curved tubes are a vivid, orange. Not electric. A great color. There are gold tone metal caps at the end of each tube. I believe this part of the necklace could be cellulose acetate.
There is a hook at one end and a gold tone metal chain at the other. Length is slightly adjustable.
The center bead is striped. Shades of orange, warm melon, almost a red stripe and white. Great bead in a long oval with flat ends. It has gold tone metal caps as well.
All three pieces fit together and lay beautifully at the hollow of the throat. It could be lengthened by adding some jump rings to the chain. Hook and chain closure.
Mint, marvelous and rare. I have never seen another like it. Circa 1975, Ultra Mod Madness.
