Antique Edwardian era amethyst set in .800 European silver with a cannetille setting; weighing 4.5 grams. It measures 1 inch X 3/4 inch. Note: Dust shows in the pictures on this lovely stone.
The stone is quite lovely.
The silver has not been polished. It has all of it's lovely patina intact. Simply exquisite. Circa 1910.
This oval stone has wonderful faceting and sparkle. It is in an open back setting in a high, smooth, bezel frame for excellent light play.
Strong pin mechanism with an old, simple, "C" clasp. The silver has a rich, dark patina. I have not polished it at all. It COULD be made shiny bright; according to your taste. This delicate pin would look amazing nestled in a lacy neckline. It is so feminine
Likely of European origin as the mark; .800 was the standard for sterling at the time.
There is one tiny break in the delicate frame. It only shows under a jeweler's loupe. One of the little bitty dots / balls is missing.
