Peking art glass bead necklace with faceted crystal accents from the 1960s and absolutely gorgeous. Length is adjustable from 19-21 inches. Minty with no damage. This would be wonderful with a pair of crystal earrings!
Gorgeous beads! These mottled green beads are coined "Peking Glass" and were made to imitate jade. They are beautifully executed glass. Opaque beads are done in shades of green. They show depth as one would find in jade. They alternate with faceted glass crystals that have an Aurora Borealis wash. Strung on strong thread the necklace is very fluid.
Circa 1960 this is a great example of work done in Japan using art glass beads. These would look fabulous with faceted clear crystal earrings.
The necklace is 22 inches from end to end and is adjustable from 19 - 21 inches. There are 24 of these large beads. The silver tone hook is marked JAPAN on the inside.
