1950s Pink Barbizon Nightgown Bias Cut Floor Length Exquisite Lace Bust 34 with a 1930s Silhouette in Mint Condition. Ready to wear or Gift for Valentine's Day, birthday, or for a bride planning her wedding.
Measurements in inches: bust 34, under bust 30,waist up to 34, hip up to 40, length from shoulder to hem 55 inches.
The 100% nylon fabric is opaque, cut on the bias so there is a tiny bit of give and a whole lot of slinky fit. This registered fabric treatment was registered by the manufacturer. It looks and feels like a fine satin.
The gown features: double self fabric piped straps with lace edging, bodice in front has inverted "V" construction and cross over panels that are embroidered with dove gray flowers and vines. The top and bottom of these panels are trimmed in ecru lace. The lace is intricately woven with flowers and also has scalloped edges. The lace trims the hemline as well.
The body of the gown is done in two bias cut panels. This is a rare to find gown, that mimics so beautifully a 1930s silhouette. It is sensational.
Label: BARBIZON, Embrace 12, Satin Stylefaire. This label is Circa 1950.
Condition is above excellent. No damage of any kind; lightly worn and carefully kept; it comes from a smoke and pet free home. This can be machine washed on the gentle cycle when needed.
