1930s Salesman's Sample Tin Dr. Korinek's Udder Balm Stayton Oregon. Great condition.
Features: The word: "SAMPLE" is on the tin. This is a true sample tin. It is 1-1/8 inch across and 1/4 inch tall.

Such samples were given to pharmacy owners, drug stores and old time general stores for the owners to give customers in hopes of creating a market for the particular product the salesman was carrying that month in his case.
These old samples can only be authentic if the word SAMPLE is actually on the tin. Many small tins full of products were sold. SAMPLE tins are also small however, they differ from actual products that were SOLD in pharmacies and drug stores. Sample tins were given out free.
Look for the word SAMPLE on the tin. From an Idaho estate dated from the 1930s and 1940s.
This tin is in VERY GOOD vintage condition. Minor wear, with a tiny spot on one side that I do not think can be removed.. Please see the pictures for close ups of this TINY TIN.
