1950s Coral Satin Hostess Jacket with Rhinestones and Soutache Trim Size Medium. This jacket has a slight "swing" style cut and is not meant to fit tight. Authentic Vintage and in above excellent condition. I find no flaws.
Measurements in inches: Bust up to 36, Waist up to 36, Hip up to 36, Sleeve from shoulder to hem 20 inches with a 4 inch turned up cuff and length from center back to hem 25 inches. This is a beautiful coral and a bit softer in hue than appears in the pictures.
This hostess / lounge jacket is a true coral color and made in a quilted satin fabric. There is a Mandarin collar and front button closure. The front bodice is decorated with undulating black and silver soutache trim and a scattering of rhinestones. The buttons are light blue Lucite buttons that have rhinestone centers.
There are belt carriers at each side and a quilted self fabric belt. There is also a self lined pocket at one side seam.
There is no label. I believe this is the top of a lounge set that was likely made by TEXTRON in the mid 1950s. It would be smashing with wide legged satin pants or full flowing skirt.
Condition is above excellent. No odors and from a smoke and pet free home.
