1900s antique photograph of two railroad, train conductors aka motorman operators in uniform. Original picture. Like from a Pennsylvania Railroad line; please read below.
Matted picture : 12 x 10 inches. Actual photograph: 8-1/4 x 6-1/2 inches. Note: black and white, not sepia. Excellent resolution. Pictures may appear sepia or brown tone on your monitor. My photos are not perfect.
Studio portrait of two conductors circa 1910. Plates on their hats read: CONDUCTOR, one with number 280 the other with number 284. The words under the numbers are blurred but, likely are the railroad line they worked for.
Embossed in one corner of the backing is the name and location of the photographer's studio. It is: CRAMMER, Scranton, Pa. This is likely from a Pennsylvania Railroad line.
Slightly bowed backing has embossed center. Backing shows water damage front and back. There is no water damage to the picture itself.
It does have some issues with light scratches, and age marks. Photograph is VERY GOOD with no edge chips or holes or signs of color fade.
A great historical photograph. Very, very good picture with compromised backing.
