1940s Dress Sewing Pattern Bust 36 Dress of the Month. This vintage sewing pattern is circa 1948 for a wonderful dress. This design was the J.C. Penny "Dress of the Month" !
Measurements: Bust 36, waist 30, hip 39, with a great graphic of the dress on the pattern envelope, AND a suggested fabric: Cravat Rayon.
This one piece dress features a slashed collar. There are accents at the shoulder yoke and shoulder pads for a very interesting silhouette. The sleeves are set in and are 3/4 length. Patch pockets are optional.
The skirt joins the bodice at the natural waist. Note: This is a GREAT skirt design! It has a center front yoke that is a graceful swoop on the tummy. See the close up picture of this lovely design.
At the center front there is a long panel from waist to hem. Then the side sections are gathered over the hip line for some wonderful, full lines. This skirt is clever and very FLATTERING!
You may add a self fabric or purchased belt. The hem finishes just at the knee for that authentic silhouette of World War II fashion.
This is an ADVANCE vintage unprinted pattern. Size in this envelope for measurements in inches: Bust 36, waist 30, hip 39.
This pattern is complete with all instructions; from choosing fabric, notions needed, lay out, cutting and detailed sewing instructions.
The pattern does not appear to have been cut. The envelope shows SIGNIFICANT wear and tear. The instruction page and envelope are brittle. The tissue pieces are fine. Used and KEPT for 70 odd years for YOU!
