Antique Victorian, cut steel belt buckle circa 1900 is a wonderful sewing notion. It forms a butterfly when latched. It measures: 2-3/4 inches X 2 inches when latched together.
Two part buckle is made of faceted cut steel beading. Set on an open work, lacy frame. Metal bands allow for ribbon or fabric to be laced through and sewn in place.
Ideal for a Victorian or Edwardian belt or, use it as a delightful decoration on a hat.
Above excellent condition. No rust. It has excellent sparkle. There are no breaks, or missing "beading". Minor wear to the back. Four of the tiniest sets have no back. That is original to the manufacturing process and not considered damage. Latch and bands are strong.
