Antique Brass Belt or Sash Slide Victorian Sewing Notion. A true antique that measures: 3 inches across and in excellent condition. Overlapping leaves are welded to a ring. The stretcher in the middle has teeth to grip fabric. From the late Victorian or Art Nouveau era, circa 1900.
Gold finish on the brass leaves is very very good. The stretcher bar and ring show wear to the finish. This will not show when used. The second picture shows it with fabric woven through the slide so you can get an idea of how it would look.
Great for a heavier ribbon like grosgrain. This will hold a medium to heavier weight fabric in place. Not a good choice for silky sheers or extremely lightweight material.
Use it for a belt, adornment on a hat or even a heavier weight scarf thrown over the shoulder. This is a strong, well made piece.
