1940s 4 plus yards of rayon sewing fabric. Exotic print on fluid, flowing, drape loving material. True red with a tropical white floral print. There are 4-7/8 yards. That is almost 5 yards. It 37 inches from finished selvage to finished selvage. Rare to find so much rayon in one continuous length. This is stunning!
I have draped the material on a mannequin so you can see how fluid it is. It falls and flows like silk. This is not a finished garment. Imagine this made into a 1940s, evening gown; sarong style.
Smooth finish, deep rich red and true white with black accents. No holes, no odor. There are 3 small light spots. They are impossible to photograph. They would likely disappear when hand washed. This color is fixed. It will not bleed when washed in cold water.
This textile is one piece of hundreds from a lifelong collection of fabric, lace, quilting blocks and supplies. The collection has items spanning 100 years.
See my other listings for more textiles from the estate. I would be happy to combine shipping.
