Gorgeous 1920s hand embroidered tablecloth with bullion style stitch flowers. This style stitch is very labor intensive. So lovely! Minty; almost perfect, and, measures: 32 x 32 inches.
Lovely, white cotton fabric that is just the right weight for this exquisite embroidery work. Pink and blue bullion stitched flowers (that is the style of the stitch. This is not bullion thread) are in gold harp like frames along with, graduated dots, done in each corner. Around the edges are a simple but, beautifully done stitch in blue.
No holes, or signs of significant wear.
I find two tiny, light spots that are about 1/8 -1/4 inch. They are so light they just will not photograph. There is one loose stitch in the blue trim. (pictured) This is an exquisite piece. Lovingly made many decades ago.
From a great estate. See my other listings for MORE! There is fabric, lace, trims, and linens from this collection spanning 100 years.
