1940s - 1950s Rayon sewing fabric 4 plus yards in gorgeous plaid. Rayon material from this era is getting very hard to find. This is a wonderful length. It measures 4 yards plus 15 inches and is 35 inches from selvage to selvage.
Mint, clean and free of any damage.
Lightweight, soft, slightly flowing, material is a buttery yellow printed with a pattern of brown brush strokes. This print looks like it is taken right from an artist's canvas. It drapes, gathers and flows beautifully. Not a good choice for hard pleats. It has a Very Slight stretch. The finish is smooth and glossy. I did a burn test that resulted in it being identified as rayon.
I believe it was made after WW II and before 1959. Note: This fabric is shown draped on my mannequin. It is not a finished garment. It is shown pinned to the display so you can see how it drapes and falls.
The most economical shipping in the USA is Priority Mail Flat rate box. There is a LOT of fabric here. The priority rate includes part of the insurance. You can decline further insurance if you have a secure delivery site.
International rates vary. It weighs about 2-1/2 pounds. So international rates are not cheap. This cost is determined by USPS. I always combine shipping and will refund overcharge of postage a/o insurance on multiple orders.
