Color is even and vivid. Any light lines or dark areas are shadows a/o reflection.
This his prolific American duo often used comedy to portray American characters. Especially well known for children and dog prints.
Promotional item offered to Purina dealers pre-WWII. Measures: 20-1/2 inches long and is 13-1/4 inch wide. The print itself is nice and large. Great display of the dogs. Near mint, original vintage print.
Vivid color and full, unused calendar pages for 1941. Original brass hand tab is in place as is the long metal piece along the top. Condition is above excellent with a couple of minor chips and a fly spit on the front. Print is otherwise in unused condition. It has been rolled up for years. No significant bends.
The Purina Company was big on advertising for it's franchisees. They put the famous Checkerboard on everything from pencils to feed sacks from clothing to hot pads. This calendar was owned by the first Purina dealer in Idaho.
In this print curious English Setter puppies have encountered a frog. Funny puppies.
