This listing is especially done for quilters, quilt restorers and textile historians.
Some of the fabrics have darling prints with polka dots, stripes, flowers, and fanciful foliage, some are solid or plaid. There is even a couple of rare novelty prints. They are all 100% cotton and 100% vintage.
Some pieces are obviously from flour sacks. Collectors will recognize the prints. Other pieces are from home sewing projects like shirts, dresses etc. These were carefully saved by a woman who, during the Great Depression, took recycling to a level we can't even begin to imagine. They were intended for making quilt blocks or doll clothes or quilts.
There are no completed squares or blocks.
In one picture you can see a little doll jacket that was cut out and partly stitched for a doll. It is in the lower left corner and is blue, white and red. How sweet!
A wonderful group to have if you design textile prints. There are lovely examples of unusual motifs to put in your fabric portfolio. (if anyone even does that anymore).
Please NOTE: these are real SCRAPS saved from sewing projects. There is no piece larger than slightly less than 1/4 yard square. One or two may have a spot but, 99% are spot free.
Colors are fresh and vibrant.
