Rare Vogue 1940s vintage sewing pattern for a wedding gown or evening dress bust 36, Vogue S-4522. This is an original and very hard to find pattern.

Measurements bust 36, waist 30, hip 39. Modest, marvelous designer gowns.

Drafted in 1944 for wedding or evening gowns; adaptable for both uses. All original. Vogue's, SPECIAL DESIGN label. Gowns for all seasons shown.

High collarless neckline and a circular band set on at the deep yoke both front and back. Very top of the bodice has a sheer or solid fabric inset. Lovely and modest and very era specific.

Choice: long sleeves that finish over the top of the hand in a point or, short sleeves. When made sleeveless; it is PERFECT for a '40s evening gown.

The back bodice has buttons and loops for closure. There is a sweeping optional train, gathered skirt, joined to a shaped lower edge at the waist.

Fabric suggestions: bridal satin, silk, taffeta, rayon or velvet. Modern synthetics will work perfectly.

Unprinted pattern is complete with instructions for choosing fabric, laying out the pattern, cutting, sewing and finishing the garments shown on the envelope.

The envelope shows SIGNIFICANT wear and has tape marks. Tissue pieces are fine.
