Eugène Galien-laloue was a French artist born in Paris of French-Italian parents. He took his early inspiration painting busy street scenes of the Belle Epoque era. Later in his career he painted Normandy landscapes and it is from this period that this painting dates.
Purchased at auction from Bukowskis Hagersten Sweden.
