An 18th-Century English Delft charger. It is hand painted in cobalt blue and white with a chinoiserie landscape design. This faience charger has a house, trees, a lake, birds, fence and a lovely double geometric border. It is painted in the Chinese style - at this time the Delft potters were imitating real Chinese export porcelain with wares like these. It is circa 1760, attributed to Lambeth, Abigail Griffiths, maker. This charger is highly collectible, and matches a pair of plates listed.
