A late 19th-Century Victorian police truncheon baton with a partial gilt 'V R' for Victoria Regina, English. It is made of dense lignum vitae wood, is hand turned and is a dark, almost black color with the gilt V R insignia for Queen Victoria. It is a great collector's item and a real conversation piece!
Dimensions: 17.5"L x 1.5"Diameter
Condition: Very good antique condition; just the appropriate wear one would expect on such an item. It has lots of character, with nicks and a small old stable crack from age shrinkage. Wear such as this authenticates the age - over 100 years old!
