A pair of early 20th-Century English Edwardian oak lidded boxes. They each have a delightful faux marquetry shell inlay on the front and the reverse. These boxes are hand made and circa 1930 in age. The lids, topped with a finial, fit snugly and they could be used for a variety of purposes. We've not seen any like these previously. We found them in a small village in the Cotswolds.
