A 19th-Century Anglo-Indian teak iron bound trunk, the perfect coffee table size and height. It is heavy and large, and has ample storage inside. These wonderful antique trunks were used to move goods on the 'Grand Trunk Road' in India during the 19th-Century British Colonial period. During the hot summer months, the British colonial government moved to the cooler hill stations at the foothills of the Himalayas. Author Rudyard Kipling described the road, "such a river of life as nowhere else exists in the entire world'.
